It is a requirement of the Registered Clubs Act that all persons under the age of 18 years be under the care and control of a responsible adult at all times while on Club premises. The definition of a responsible adult as it applies to this regulation is:
It is a condition of entry to the Club that members and their guests be neatly and sensibly attired. As a general rule, the following are not permitted:
It is expected that members and guests maintain a high level of personal hygiene.
It is further condition of entry that members and visitors accept the absolute discretion of the House Manager to apply or to waive dress regulations, including but not limited to the stipulations listed above, and to determine whether the dress of any person or group of persons is acceptable. The decision of the Manager will be final.
Patrons are not permitted to bring food and beverages into the Club unless prior arrangement has been made with management.
The privacy of members and visitors is important. To protect it the use of video recorders, cameras and mobile phone cameras is not permitted in the Club without the express permission of a relevant Manager.
Petersham RSL Club is subject to the provisions of the Privacy Act 1988. The Act contains 10 National Privacy Principles that set standards for the handling of personal information. The Club has a commitment to privacy and the safeguarding of member, visitor and staff personal information.
For us to consider your application for membership, the Corporations and Registered Clubs Acts require us to obtain, display in the Club and in some cases make available information such as your name and address. If you do not provide that information we may be unable to consider your application.
Any personal information provided by you to the Club (e.g. name, address, date of birth and contact details), including information collected as a result of a membership card being placed in a gaming machine or other club machine that is linked to a member loyalty system (not ATMs) that may provide a benefit or service to you, will be protected.
The Club does not disclose your personal information to any other organisation or person unless there is a legal requirement to do so. The Club may disclose personal information to relevant authorities if it reasonably believes that there is a threat to an individual’s life, health or safety, or public health or safety. If the Club has reason to suspect that unlawful activity has been, is being, or may be engaged in, personal information may be used or disclosed as a necessary part of any investigation and reporting to relevant persons or authorities.
The Club may disclose your information to third parties that provide services under contract to the club. These contracts require the third party, in turn, to keep your personal information confidential and secure and adhere to the Provisions of the Privacy Act 1988.
Your personal information, including information about you obtained as a result of you placing your membership card in a gaming or other club machine (not ATMs), may be used by the Club for marketing purposes to improve our services and to provide you with the latest information about those services and any new related services and promotions.
If you do not wish to receive information about services and promotions, the Club, on request, will remove your name from mailing lists.
You have a right to access any personal information that the Club may hold about you, including a right of correction of your information. The Club will generally not charge a fee for you to access your personal information.

As a proud supporter of the BETSAFE programme, Petersham RSL aspires to achieve a harm minimisation objective in their gambling operations by providing gambling services and practices that conform to all applicable Acts and Regulations.
Each staff member employed in gaming related areas of the Club is required to have attained their Responsible Conduct of Gambling Certificate through a Registered Training organization.
If gambling is a problem for you, Club Staff & Management are available to provide assistance and information about the many organisations trained to deal with gambling problems. Information on these organisations is also available throughout the Club.

By Law, it is an offence to sell or supply any liquor to any person who is, at the time, in a state of intoxication.
Management and staff have the right to deny the sale of alcohol to any person they feel may be intoxicated or may be nearing intoxication.
Management and staff also have the right to deny entry into the premises, or ask any person to leave the premises, if they feel that person is intoxicated or nearing intoxication.
This policy will be adopted by all staff and management in the best interest of all patrons.
